Gardens By The Bay, you cannot do like this lah..!

Last weekend we visited the Gardens By The Bay again. My brother wanted to bring my mother to see the beautiful flowers blooming in the conservatory. That huge aircon room inside got alot of flowers one.

We followed and had a short lovely time taking pictures at the Chinese Garden. It was past noon and we got hungry. My brother said there is a food court further in, so we followed. but actually dun have, some more he said he often jog there go further will have. So we walk walk walk, still dun have, walk some more dun have...

Got this fine dining restaurant, Pollen. Wah, posh, nice, aircon - of course not in our price range. So we walked outside its glass panels and salivated while the inside high class people ate classy high tea/lunch whatever. Then we reach the observatory, still nothing to eat. Got , another ex ex Chinese restaurant.

I was looking at the menu outide an my mother walked right in, "I go inside ah!" She said. I said "Where!" mega panic with my brother....then realised...ORh, got a toilet beside the restaurant. heng ah..thought my mother so garang just walk in.

anyway, the point being, still no cheap eats loh. By this time I was on fire because beri hungry liao. My children worse ah. ki ke lak gio...esp meimei.

Ah, actually they wanted to go in see flower liao mah, but hungry how to go in? So walked on to find eating place..lagi walk walk walk, walk walk walk...reached the entrance that side, info people said at the back have... By this time, Meimei needed me to piggy back her up the stairs. And then hor...after that go down another flight of stairs walk abit more....baru came to the group of eating place ...saw ok lor, more affordable than just now. And we all went in.

This place like, sell last time Hill Street hawker food. Last time cheap cheap at hill street, but come to Gardens by the Bay become ex ex, one char kway tio also need SGD 9.90. bobian, all ate there.

We ordered curry and rice, fried rice, char kway tio, bak ku teh, curry mee....

Save for Fried Rice all buay ziak one...( means :- not delicious) The curry :- no character. none of the spices stood out. First time make me think curry should have character, because this one so lacking. Can taste all the spices, but not one stood out.

The  bak ku teh is the worse. Tasted like salt and pepper soup.

Not say I want to say ( but still say lah) How can this kind of standard. We were a famished group by the time we reached there already, still the makans so lousy.

Only the ice kacang. We ordered one and 6 of us SHARED! shiok!

Afterwards, we wanted to leave. So far from the MRT, we decided to take taxi. My brother and my mother dropped their idea to enter the conservatory, because walk until damn sian liao.

Left the Gardens By The Bay abit angry and pissed. Garden so big, but so few eateries. I mean affordable ones, dun tell me those bistro places.

So Gardens By The Bay, you world famous liao hor, damn atas you know. Take shuttle bus within that huge compound also have to pay money.

Yah lah, alot of plants to see..But the damn walking took all the pleasure away..

So hor, if you tourist you come here and see this blog, and still wanna go, remember to pack like go camping if you dun wanna end up in the park, hungry with only fine dining places, and have to walk damn far between eateries. Dun say this Singaporean never warn you.
  
Walking aside. Nothing really spectecular. Second time there and am still trying to see actually what's so great about this place. Opening that time so much hype. The giant trees are......big steel structures with climbing plants ....lor. Got what thing special? Tall ....lor. See picture enough lah.

Maybe will take a few more long years for this garden to mature. Presently, still very overhyped.

It's a man's playground. Like a garden designed by man, to showcase how rich he is. There is nothing lovely about this garden as of now. So much cement on the pavements.  You everything atas atas right, then you ownself atas lah ok...ask you MBS people opposite they very rich they can come and enjoy the garden dun have we all this kind of people to swarm it.
