Meimei Holiday Project - Scrapbook

The school assigned holiday homework for Meimei. It was to make a scrapbook of herself.

My fellow parent friend complained that it was our homework instead of theirs.

Well, since there was no way meimei could design a scrapbook entirely on her own for now,
I decided to have a heavy hand on this assignment.

Papa, Baobao and I designed the pages, and we got Meimei to help with the cutting, pasting,
writing out words, some drawings and colourings. So this was pretty much a combined
family effort. And it took us quite abit of time.

But we were all very happy with the outcome.

Here's the cover:

Baobao designed the cover page, Meimei drew her own potrait.

Did abit of salvaging job for these two first pages because the marker used on the cover ran over onto these two pages. Paste, paste, paste to cover up.

Actual scrapbooking efforts really started here, where I began to have some ideas to theme up the colours and designs so the pages would not look so mismatched or messy.

I realise it was not easy! :P To have a whole page of bits and pieces and then still maintain a certain look or theme.

These Korean autumn pics came out in stunning colours from the printer! I was taken aback by the colours. I haven't printed many photos since we have digital cameras, and the printers that I have patronised so far return very unsatifactory result. So one day we visited this photo printer at Causeway Point Woodlands, not expecting much. Imagine my surprise when the pics came out as they were see on screen, exactly! Wonderful burst of autumn colours.

Looking at their machine it was no surprise afterall. Very big machine. So word of advice, if you want stunning WYSIWYG colour photo printing service, look out for a really big printer in the shop. Those small vending booth kind don't cut it.

Our work piqued Papa's interest. Since he was on leave most of the week, he was roped in to do two other pages. Oh, I have not seen Papa flex his craft muscles for a long time now. Love his work. Those doodles were done by him. ('Çause he said the words are too long for Meimei to write..)

It is a very satisfactory piece of work. It was great fun and we did it together as a family.
Should we do more? ! :)
